Notes for Cleaning Silk Sheets

silk sheets cleaning tips

Undoubtedly, the best washing silk sheets is the one done by hand. Meantime, there are some points to be noticed.

The soap used should be a non-toxic detergent and abrasives. The Woolies brand product is one of the most requested but not all manufacturers recommend, so we stress that we must ensure that labels say and what we recommend the manufacturers. The water that we wash should be warm, about 30°C. To dry 100% mulberry silk sheets should not be used under any circumstances dryers, radiators or direct sunlight as this will ruin the fabric. We need to stop the bedding outdoors and wait for the dry hot wind without exposing too much sun.

If you have invested in silk sheets, must also invest time in learning how to clean them and keep them in top condition.
