The Adapt collection includes different dimensions and profiles, from the lower-profile ProLo to the fuller ProHi and the adjustable ProAdjust. Even within the same collection, these pillows do not share exactly the same proportions.
This is where a custom silk pillowcase becomes particularly useful for TEMPUR-Adapt. A fuller pillow needs a case that accommodates not only its length and width, but also its overall volume. With ElleSilk customization, you can also choose between a traditional knife-edge construction and a gusseted design, allowing the pillowcase to be made around the specific Adapt model rather than asking different pillow profiles to fit into the same generic Queen or King pillowcase.
TEMPUR-Adapt Pillow Dimensions
The TEMPUR-Adapt collection currently includes three different profiles:

For this reason, simply knowing that you have a “TEMPUR-Adapt Queen” does not tell the whole story when ordering a pillowcase. The King models, in particular, vary in length, while the difference between a 5-inch and 6.5-inch profile also changes how full the pillow feels inside its case.
5″ or 6.5″ Profile: Knife Edge or Gusseted Edge?
The different profiles within the TEMPUR-Adapt collection make customization about more than length and width. They also give you a choice in how the pillowcase itself is constructed.
A Knife Edge is the classic pillowcase construction, with the front and back panels of silk meeting directly at the edges without a separate side panel. When properly sized, it can naturally accommodate the Adapt while maintaining a soft, clean silhouette and the familiar appearance of a traditional silk pillowcase. It is particularly well suited to the 5-inch ProLo, as well as to anyone who prefers a simple, softly tailored look.
A Gusseted Edge adds a separate side panel between the front and back of the pillowcase, creating defined space for the thickness of the pillow. For the fuller 6.5-inch ProHi or ProAdjust, this construction can be considered if you would like the silk pillowcase to follow the pillow’s side profile more closely rather than having the front and back panels extend directly around its full depth.
Neither construction is inherently better. A Knife Edge creates a softer, simpler silhouette, while a Gusseted Edge gives greater definition to the pillow’s depth and three-dimensional shape. Customization allows you to choose according to both your specific TEMPUR-Adapt model and the finished look you prefer.
How to Measure Your TEMPUR-Adapt
If you are ordering a Knife Edge pillowcase, you only need to provide the length and width. If you prefer a Gusseted Edge, you will also need to provide the gusset height.
Length: Lay the pillow naturally on a flat surface and measure in a straight line from the far left edge to the far right edge. Do not compress the TEMPUR material while measuring.
Width: Measure in a straight line from the front edge to the back edge, keeping the measuring tape flat rather than following the curve of the pillow’s surface.
Gusset Height: Measure the height of the pillow’s actual gusseted side panel rather than the pillow’s overall height at its highest point. For the TEMPUR-Adapt, this measurement helps the custom pillowcase follow the original shape and side profile of the pillow more closely.
Customize Your Silk Pillowcase for TEMPUR-Adapt
Once you have confirmed your model and measurements, you can choose between a Knife Edge or Gusseted Edge, followed by 22 Momme or 25 Momme mulberry silk, your preferred color, and a Zipper or Envelope Closure. The 22 Momme silk has a lighter, softer hand, while 25 Momme offers a denser, more substantial feel.
Customizing a pillowcase for TEMPUR-Adapt is not simply a matter of making a standard Queen or King pillowcase smaller.
